The world is on fire, but there was a frog in my eggs a week or two ago, so that has to mean good things, right?
Somewhere along the line I decided that getting two yolks in an egg was the modern equivalent of reading the future or your fortune in an animal’s entrails. Which is a really weird thing when you think about it, but the only thing I think is that maybe I watch too many movies. That mutated into the idea that it meant good fortune and getting two yolks meant I should ride my luck to win and buy a lottery ticket.
However, when the yolks form a very clear frog in your breakfast, that’s gotta mean something more, right? Frogs can symbolize transformation and I am ALL ABOUT being transformed into a millionaire. However, since it is two weeks later and I clearly didn’t win the lottery I am blindly assuming something transformative (in a good way) is on the horizon because I refuse to believe frogs for breakfast is a portent of doom.

While the inevitable good fortune will come my way shortly, in the meantime I realized I never shared my frog painting (currently up for viewing in the Hector International Airport). Now, to be clear I know absolutely NOTHING about frogs – but that doesn’t stop me from taking 8 million pictures from 15 different angles of a frog if it is cooperative enough to hold still. I have folders full of frog photos that I mostly don’t do anything with, each about 1/8th of an inch different than the one taken before it. It’s kinda ridiculous, but it makes me happy, so who cares? But this one somehow became an actual painting, so, Go, Me. This frog nicely hung out for about a quarter hour at the pond in the International Peace Garden and just seemed so calm and peaceful and I think we can all use a little bit of that.

Speaking of frogs, I started this a long time ago, got distracted, and just remembered it existed when exploring my frog files. I can see where I was going with it, but not enough to actually get there, so I think it is destined to languish unfinished in the files with my zillion frog photos.

‘Til next time!

Loved your story and painting! Though we are not related biologically, we are definitely soulmates! I see patterns in numbers, love reading and figuring out license plates or making up my own idea of what it says etc.! God made us all different and special. I live by this, which I have posted on my ‘fridge: “God is still writing your story. Quit trying to steal the pen! Trust the author.”

OMG you crack me up. When I first started reading the post, I was wondering how in the world did a frog get into your eggs lol. I absolutely love your sense of humor!
Me too! I thought, what happened that a frog got into her eggs at a time when eggs are a high-priced commodity!! Dang, I love Brandi’s musing (and art!)! ₍𝄐⁀̲𝄐₎
