I am sad that it isn’t pudding. I always think<\/em> it is pudding. I want<\/em> it to be pudding. It really isn’t pudding.<\/p>\n My daughter recently went on a cooking spree, and miscalculated with the butter and melted a lot more than she needed. So she poured it in the ramekin and put it in the fridge to harden.<\/p>\n Now every time my husband or I open the fridge door and see it we immediately get a little leap of glee and excitement that there is pudding!,<\/em> until memory kicks back in and we realize it is the butter.<\/p>\n Every. Single. Time.<\/p>\n You’d think that we would freaking move the butter<\/em>. But we don’t. I think we are addicted to that little leap of hope when we open the door. So neither of us moves the butter and it continues to sit there, taunting us with alternating waves of joy and disappointment.<\/p>\n This probably reveals way too much about how we function in everyday life for comfort, but there ya go.<\/p>\n In other news, here is my latest painting. It has nothing whatever to do with either pudding or butter. Each month at Gallery 4<\/a> the artists pick a theme and create something new to go with it. I love it, because with 13 different artists you get such a wide variety of looking at the same concept from completely different perspectives. It’s loads of fun, and the theme for April is “Tails”. Coat tails or kite tails or cocktails or animal tails. Here is my Swallowtail.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/a>
